Hinsdale’s Premier Medical Spa Acquires First-Ever No-Pain Laser for Hair Removal and Photorejuvenation Treatments

Simply Skin Medical Spa, a physician-owned and operated state-of-the-art medical spa with offices in Hinsdale and Naperville is now offering laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation treatments using the Aesthera PhotopneumaticTM (PPx) laser – the first FDA-approved clinically-proven laser to be completely pain-free for the patient.

Laser hair removal treatments use laser light to heat up pigment inside hair follicles to drastically slow or eliminate the production of new hairs. Lasers are also used in a variety of skin photorejuvenation treatments to stimulate collagen production, fade age spots, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and suppress overactive oil glands.

During these treatments, the laser is passed over the skin, and can cause a burning sensation in some patients that can be reduced using a topical anesthetic before the procedure. Treatments that take longer and require more passes of the laser over the same area of skin are most likely to cause these unpleasant effects.

The PPx laser has been rigorously tested, and clinically-proven to be the first pain-free laser for hair removal and photorejuvenation treatments. This is because it uses less energy than other lasers.
